EMAIL:

LimoWiz has multiple interfaces for sending email:
* Microsoft Outlook (a part of Microsoft Office).
* Outlook Express (Windows Email under Vista).
* Thunderbird.
* LimoWiz Email Engine - Send Only
 
To utilize any of those options, it must be setup properly and selected in the LimoWiz Settings page under E-Mail Account tab on Settings page as shown below.

Email can be sent directly from LimoWiz.
First select the Email Program to Use as LimoWiz Email Engine - Send Only.

1.Click all check boxes as shown above.
2.Enter your mail server settings. In the sample above, enter you company , email address and mail server settings.
You need to obtain the correct SMTP server setting from your internet service provider (ISP), like Verizon, SBC Global, Optimum Online, etc.
The port number is also required if your ISP requires a port number other than the default number which 25.
3.After your enter your mail server settings, click Test Account Settings to verify that a message can be sent. If you get a "Connection Failure", check your settings:

Common reason of the messages not being sent is one of the following:

Server requires SMTP authentication. Choose proper login method.
Authentication failed (wrong UserName and/or Password, unsupported authentication method).
You can try several common choices:
UserName=Account_name (e.g. "jdoe" if your e-mail address is "jdoe@domain.com")
UserName=E-Mail_address (e.g. "jdoe@domain.com")
Try different values for Auth Method property.
Specified server is not SMTP (ErrCode=4 in this case). For example, SMTP server name for "jdoe@domain.com" is usually somewhat like "mail.domain.com" or "smtp.domain.com" BUT NOT just "domain.com"
SMTP server rejects connections from your IP address
SMTP server is behind firewall
Specified "From:" address is not allowed by this server
Specified "To:" address is allowed only if the user has already passed SMTP authentication
Message size limit exceeded, traffic limit per connection exceeded, etc.
 
 
4.Email sent using the above method, will be saved under the MailBox icon on main Toolbar. Double clicking a record opens the email message.
1.Email logo is now embedded in the HTML email if the user defined email account is setup and it is not added as an attachment such as in Outlook.
2.You can add your logo to HTML confirmation when using Outlook. Not this not supported under Outlook Express.
 
To add a logo, see Settings - last tab page, bottom left.
If you're using the LimoWiz network version, the logo file must be located on the server limowiz2000 or any other shared folder and you MUST use the a network path by selecting the file using the My Network Places from the Open file dialog. For example:
\\myserverdrive\limowiz2000\whatever.jpg

 

Custom HTML templates (For advanced users only):

Create your own custom HTML templates for sending trip confirmation:
You can create those files using the LimoWiz HTML Editor or your favorite HTML editor program like FrontPage or DreamWeaver.
A new tab "Email" has been added the Settings where you set which are files are used as templates.
This feature is advanced users who are familiar with creating HTML files. You may create your custom templates based on the LimoWiz default templates.
If no files are specified, LimoWiz will use its own templates. The LimoWiz default templates MUST NOT be modified.

Notes:

Indicate "Indicate Itinerary change" check box on trip window. When clicked LimoWiz will add "Itinerary change" to HTML Confirmation Type:
You have the option of including your confirmation text in HTML format by creating a file called:
CONFIRM-PAYMENT.HTM. This can be created using the LimoWiz HTML editor and it must be saved in the limowiz2000 on server.
